Any item in this category should be refused for carriage in AirAsia network, regardless of value, business potential and who the customer is. There is no exception process available.

 

Prohibited Items

  • Dangerous Goods -any solid, liquid, or gas that can harm people, other living organisms, property, or the environment. Dangerous goods include materials that are radioactive, flammable, explosive or corrosive, oxidizers or asphyxiates, biohazardous, toxic, pathogen or allergen substances and organisms or any items classified under the IATA Regulations. (Please refer here for a list of IATA Dangerous Goods Classes).Contraband or illegal items –any items that may be deemed to be illegal by the government of the country of origin or destination.
  • Any article bearing the imprint or reproduction of any currency note, bank note, or coin which are current or have at any time been issued or current in any country.
  • Any emblem or device in circumstances which raise a reasonable presumption that such emblem or device was intended or was likely to be used in a manner prejudicial to the interest of Malaysia or to promote or foster a purpose prejudicial to or incompatible with peace, welfare or good order in Malaysia.
  • Cloth bearing the imprint or reproduction of any verses of the Quran.
  • Intoxicating liquors containing any lead or compound of lead or more than 3.46 milligrams per litre, whether in the form of copper or any compound of copper.
  • Pirated CDs, VCDs and DVDs.
  • Bullion (of any previous metal), jewellery and objects construed of previous metals and/ or stones, loose previous stones.
  • Broadcast receivers capable of receiving radio communication within the ranges (68-87) MHz and (108-174) MHz except those designed to receive meteorological broadcasts at spot frequencies (except those for the use of the telecommunication authority).
  • Any medical samples.
  • Any perishable items (2nd Phase)
  • Any liquids (declaration to be verified)
  • Bird Nest (2nd Phase))
  • Toy Guns
  • Firearms, firearms part, weapons, explosive devices or ammunition.
  • Any Item which could be used as weapon
  • Human remains or ashes

  • Negotiable item-Bearer Form
  • Negotiable item is in bearer form when it is readily

    • Telephone SIM ( both activated and non-activated)
    • Telephone prepaid card (activated)
  • Negotiable item –Non-Bearer Form
    • Banker’s draft

    • Tickets (blank stock)

Restricted Items

  • Any item list in this category can be acceptable for carriage if the value not exceed the maximum acceptable value per consignment note.

    • Value per shipment must not exceed USD100.
